2006: This was the fastest selling product for Microsoft till date.It had been 40 times more subscribed then Predicted.
2007:SharePoint Service 2007 had Portals,Web Content Management,Best Search Feature,Profile Management,Crawling of sites,Security Trimming.WSS 3.0 had better hardware,better performance.
2010: It only runs in 64 bit OS,Windows 2008 Server.It is knows as Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 .Basically XML web service is called through which SharePoint works.
